Mission Statement
The Circus Avalon Mission is to help build a vibrant circus culture in the Hunter by:
providing access to training space, equipment and trainers.
arranging early performing opportunities for participants in community or youth circus.
Providing regular performing opportunities (including aerial) in the Hunter for professional circus performers.
Providing an agency service for professional circus performers Australia-wide.
Bringing the National Circus Festival to Newcastle.
Maintaining synergistic relationships with other relevant groups. These currently are: Broadmeadow PCYC, Wallsend Street Committee, Waratah High, Newcastle Council, Merewether High, Mayfield Street Committee and Tempo School of Complementary Circus Arts.
Being self-funding.
- Running regular high-quality low-cost circus and performing workshops with a safe, supportive but challenging culture.
